Ever get a tune stuck in your head and it just won't go away?...well it finally did, actually, last week. But I think it was there for an entire week previous to that. I'm not quite sure of the relevance. I had to look up the song using bits and pieces of the words that I could actually understand (all this coming from
my brain!) You'd think one could understand what their own brain has been looping for about a week! But, not the case here.
All I could discern was
"I remember...blah blah blah blah blah blahhhhhh". OK...who can name that tune?!!!
Ooh--Ooh, and a little bit of
"looking out of my blah blah blah, I give my love to you". And then there is a tricky little glockenspiel part (ding ding ding ding, ala Springstein!) Any guesses? Well, Google is an amazing thing. Here it is:
I remember finding out about you
Every day, my mind is all around you
Looking out from my lonely room, day after day
Bring it home, baby, make it soon
I give my love to you
I remember holding you while you sleep
Every day, I feel the tears that you weep
Looking out of my lonely gloom, day after day
Bring it home, baby, make it soon
I give my love to you
[duel slide guitar solo (Pete Ham and George Harrison)]
Looking out of my lonely room, day after day
Bring it home, baby, make it soon
I give my love to you
I remember finding out about you
Every day, my mind is all around you
Looking out of my lonely gloom, day after day
Bring it home, baby, make it soon
I give my love to you.
"Day After Day" by Badfinger, ca. 1971
Nice tune though; have a happy.
